Kath and the Tomkats

Kath and the Tomkats are a well known jazz, blues and dance band from Vernon, BC. Over the past 12 years, they have morphed a number of times with musicians who added diversity and a variety of genres to the band’s repertoire of music.

Kath and the Tomkats are the Okanagan’s very own nostalgic R&B band who have been nominated and won numerous awards, including Best Local Musician/Music Group, Favorite Local Band, and voted Best Local Jazz and Blues Band through the Okanagan Life Magazine “Readers Choice Awards” as well as the BC Interior Music Awards.

From a sultry, bluesy feel to the rockin juke joints of yester-year, Kath Raeber, the band’s lead vocalist, and her band members, Walt Musekamp, Craig Carmody, John Keith, and Jacob Chatterton, all with long histories in the music industry, are a tightly woven mix of ‘feel good’ music.
